Samuel Shea
Sam Shea has been at the Phoenix Biomedical Campus (PBC) since 2012. Sam’s primary duties include the development, oversight, and implementation of scheduling policies and procedures for curricular and event operations on the PBC and UAHS Tucson campus. The PBC is a unique multi-university environment, which includes Arizona’s three public higher education institutions (UA, NAU, ASU). Sam directed and managed the Phoenix Biomedical Campus implementation of Astra Schedule and its subsequent upgrades. In addition to overseeing the campus curriculum and event scheduling process, Sam is responsible for Ad Astra technical support and IT resource coordination on his campus. Sam earned an M.B.A. from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks following his undergraduate studies at Jamestown College in North Dakota.
Brett Thomas
Brett has been with the University of Arizona since 2014. He worked in information technology with the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and learned code as an Applications Systems Analyst/Developer with the University. He began working closely with Ad Astra in 2015 through our Account Representatives, Astra Technical and Client Success Managers. Brett holds a Master's degree in Educational Technology from Northern Arizona University and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Brett is currently spearheading the implementation of Astra Schedule for the Health Sciences Innovation Building (HSIB). He is the application administrator for the Astra Schedule Tucson instance and helps oversee the campus curriculum scheduling process for HSIB.
Sabrina Torok
Sabrina Torok is a Tucson native and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona in 2006, Go Cats! As a service-driven individual, she has excellent customer relations skills and insight. Sabrina comes to the U of A from a large health care company as their Business Analyst, where she helped team members with application maintenance and troubleshooting. Currently, she provides system support for the Tucson instance of Astra Schedule for UA Health Sciences.
Sydni Wooten
Sydni has been with the University of Arizona since 2016 working in information technology, instructional technology, and alongside health administration. She has honed her skills in content and systems development, application administration, and troubleshooting in her time with COH, COMP, and UAHS. Sydni earned her Master's degree in the Sciences in Healthcare Delivery from Arizona State University following her bachelor's from the University of Arizona in Tucson. As a part of the UAHS Scheduling team, Sydni helps to manage and support Astra Schedule resource coordination for the Phoenix Biomedical Campus (PBC) with innovation in mind.
